5 years of being a parent.Takeaways so far-👧 you can only ever do your best👧 deep breaths help with patience levels 👧 not every day has to be perfect 👧 you can’t give up 👧 the more you put in the more you get out… all cliche things, but all mean so much. Having children is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, or will ever do. However, there are many parallels with being in business… if you do all of the above you will have success, just remember that we can’t be perfect all the time. Happy 5th birthday EJ ❤️Happy 5th Anniversary of being a mama to me!

[Happy anniversary Jenna]To celebrate, here are 11 lessons from 11 years:🕐Challenges can bring you together if you let them.🕑You think you’re busy before having kids. You’re not.🕒Making memories is the name of the game.🕓The years race by faster and faster. Find ways to slow down.🕔Two people focused on the same priority is a powerful force.🕕Appreciate how your partner’s strengths help you to do what you love.🕖Boring things become fun and meaningful when you do them together.🕗You think you’re tired before having kids. You’re not.🕘We all love to do certain things. Give each other space to enjoy that time.🕙It’s never too late for chocolate.🕚Some fresh air and a conversation always helps. Thanks Jenna for making all our years so far so memorable. With love,BP.S. – What would you add to these lessons?

Last month, we celebrated our 7-year anniversary. Far from the 7-year itch, we’re actually feeling more grounded and ambitious than ever, and there’s plenty that lies ahead. So, to mark the anniversary, Jennifer Proctor shared 7 of the biggest lessons she’s learned from her time at the helm of Cultivated Entertainment. 1. Don’t Work Hard, Work Harder2. Have Fun 3. Kindness and Patience Are Invaluable 4. Always Remember Those Who Believe In You 5. Money Isn’t The Only Thing of Value 6. Surround Yourself with People You Can Rely On 7. Don’t Forget to Smile Read the wisdom behind each lesson here!: https://lnkd.in/gga5gei5

3 Lessons from a 2 year old:We celebrated my niece’s 2nd birthday last weekend and it got me reflecting on the lessons she's taught me.She's such a cutie and gives the smushiest cuddles smothered with love...but I digress 🥰Back to what she's taught me (so far):1. Make people feel welcomed (like she does when she runs to the door with open arms and a beaming smile on her face). It's easy to chase the numbers on your socials, remember those numbers are humans - take some time to connect with them whilst they're in your world.2. Keep going until you get what you want(Do I need to explain this one? 😅) I mean wrapping your grandparents, aunts, and uncles around your little finger helps. But on a serious note, if you try something and it doesn't work out like you thought it would, don't give up. Figure out why and try again. It usually turns out better than you expected.3. Keep smilingWhen it feels tough - seek out the happy moments. They're in there if you look hard enough.Looking forward to learning more as she grows. What have the little people in your world taught you?

Happy 1 year anniversary of the day I finally had enoughEnough of the liesEnough of the silenceEnough of not speaking upEnough being afraid to lose financial stability because frankly some things HAVE to be more important, and my panic attacks and lack of patience for my husband and kids were a glaring signal that something was offMany of us have such a high tolerance for boundaries being crossed, there are lots of reasons for this. But we have to turn our radar up because if we aren’t in touch with ourselves enough to understand why we do what we do, then we can never create whatever dreams we’re chasing. Even if it’s just a peaceful mind. How can you serve and enjoy a deliciously decadent nourishing meal if you don’t even know what ingredients you’re working with? Right? When you learn how to pay attention to the signals your brain and body are firing around inside you, you can more easily trace patterns and unwind them to their roots. This gives you the power to decide if you want to pull that root and discard that pattern, or if you want to re-weave the pattern in a different way that will serve you better now as who you are today and who you want to be in the future. When we say we want to be the change we wish to see in the world, this is that. This is being the change. Come learn how to break generational cycles for yourself, your kids, and your kid's kids ;) I'm hosting a free class, Register here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e9vCmdeY 💪❤️

This week Saylor celebrated our 3rd birthday 🤯 I am so proud of the crew and all we've achieved. Below is my little welcome message to the team at our annual offsite where we painted, solved a murder/mystery, and ate a deliciously chaotic Hibachi din.Thought I'd share...-Welcome to Saylor’s 3 year old birthday party!!As many of you know... I have a 6 month old. She is incredibly cute and is growing and changing dramatically on a weekly basis. When she was born she could barely open her eyes and poop. She was navigating the world for the first time.6 months later - she’s alert, joyful, pooping a lot… but struggles too. She’s learning how to sit up, eat solids, and sleep through the night. Now that’s a 6 month old. When I picture her at three years old… she’ll be walking and talking, learning how to put on her own shoes, asking questions about the World, and learning how to play with other kids.6 months after founding Saylor - we hired our first employee. Today... Saylor turns three and we are a team of 41. Now we’re a bit more mature than a three year old child, but it's important to remember how much more we have to learn. After three years we’re still doing things for the first time, we’re asking questions about our place in the world, and we’re learning how to work together better. This is such a critical time for us as a company. We have momentum with our clients & partners, an incredible team, and a clear strategy. We’re just three years old. Imagine when we turn 5 or 10 or 20. We have such an exciting life ahead of us and I can’t wait to get old together.

It's flown and been the most stressful year of my life. Even more stressful than COVID, Zoom schooling, husband starting his business, dying parent, switching schools a third time. There is nothing like the stress of doing your own thing and putting yourself out there. Your name. Your reputation. And decimating your family's income while working 7 days a week. It's soul crushing at times. And then it's joyous an hour later. It's psychotic. And of course I wouldn't change it for the world. We've helped so many women already. Cried with them. Laughed together. We know about their stress at work. We've helped them get their resumes together. Found them marital counseling. Psychologists for their kids. Someone to de-clutter their homes. Assisted living for dad. Squeezed them in for a faster doctors appointment due to a scare. We know their struggles and their anxiety. And we know they're just like us. We've also helped them throw countless birthday parties. Graduation parties. Go on anniversary trips. Plan travel to see Taylor Swift in concert with their daughters. Send food to a sick friend. Surprise friends with flowers. Book beach houses for their extended families. Get dog trainers for their new puppies. We've helped them make memories and celebrate this crazy thing called life. We've also helped them with the mundane. Meal planning. Laundry. Childcare. Tutors. Roof leaks. Faucet leaks. Door locks. Car repairs. The real un-sexy stuff of adulting that still has to get done even though you're stuck in a meeting.I've made lots of mistakes in the past year including one really big one that I'll forever carry forward with me as we grow this company. But you learn more from the mistakes than the successes especially when you are the one who personally made them. I'm sure there are many more I've made and just haven't realized it yet. Many more to come if I'm lucky enough to keep doing this. Thank you to those who have supported me this past year. Some publicly. Some privately. Some checking in on me by text. You never forget those people. Never.Time to go help these women. If you're familiar with my work, you know that I'm constantly preaching about the importance of CELEBRATING YOUR WINS, whether small or big. That means taking the time to pause, reflect, evaluate the situation, and acknowledge your accomplishments. This is the opposite of our natural tendency to take things for granted and move toward our next goal without even noticing that something happened. It really doesn't take much to track your wins. Once you incorporate this practice into your routine (whether daily, weekly, or monthly), you will benefit from satisfaction, joy, motivation, and a sense of competence that will strengthen your self-confidence.So, my husband and I decided to practice what I preach and celebrate a significant milestone: our 20th wedding anniversary, by renewing our vows and partying it up (you can't pass up a chance to dance, right?). We were lucky to have our friends and family there to share in the special moment. Having our 3 boys with us made it even more special.Feeling inspired to give it a try? Then take a second and think of 3 wins you had in the past week. They can be as small as finishing a house chore or finally hitting the gym. Now, treat yourself to something you enjoy, such as a tasty drink, a relaxing bath, or whatever is your thing :)#positivepsychology #celebrateyourwins #selfconfidence #coaching #motivation #joy #satisfaction #weddinganniversary
