25 years later, Tarzan is still one of Disney's best moviesI still can't believe that Tarzan is now 25 years old!! I was 4 when it was released, and I watched it TONS of times as a kid.As I grew up, I realized that most people don't appreciate it enough. When people talk about the best Disney movies, they talk about The Lion King, Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, etc.But where is Tarzan? This movie has everything - Gorgeous animation, incredible (and very real) characters, beautiful colors, a fantastic and touching story, and, above all - a divine soundtrack by Phil Collins! The movie cost 130 million dollars to produce, the most expensive animation movie at that time. And you can see every penny on the screen. Fortunately, the movie aged like a fine wine. It looks amazing even today, and all the scenes of Tarzan swinging in the jungle are breathtaking. The colors and lighting?? Wow!! Like a painting! The colors are changing with the mood and atmosphere of the film.During most of the movie, the colors are bright and beautiful. But in the climax you have a dark combination of blue and red, reminds me of Guillermo Del Turo's work. It's also a very dark movie.I mean, in the opening scene, there's a baby's death, literally a baby, and also a parents' death.Clayton's (the villain) death is also very dark - he breaks his naked and you can see the shadow of his hanging body (!).And the emotions! That scene when Tarzan says goodbye to Kala? It breaks me every time! One of my favorite things in the movie is Tarzan's character arc.In the final battle against Clayton, Tarzan holds the gun against him.Clayton tells him to be a man, and Tarzan answers him "Not a man like YOU!".So, let's appreciate this movie again!!It's for everyone. It's the true magic of animation.Tarzan is available on Disney Plus.

The soundtrack for that movie is also amazing, though it wasn't my top pick from that Disney era.For me, nothing beats "The Lion King" that i saw in theaters. The music and visuals are permanently etched in my memory! Aladdin was great too, especially Robin Williams' phenomenal performance as the Genie. I was a big fan even back then!

Yes, I agree! The colours are amazing; you feel like you're in the movie. furthermore, it is about the hidden messages you hear that speak to your inner self! I know you mentioned that Tarzan is one of the "All-Time Greats," but for me, it has to be The Lion King!

This is a wonderful reflection on Tarzan's enduring legacy, Nati. It's remarkable how the movie resonates, even 25 years later.

20 years later, Harry Potter 3 is still a cinematic wonderCan you believe it? Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released 20 years ago! 20 years!!It’ the third film in the popular Harry Potter series, and one of the most well-directed fantasy movies of all time. After Chris Columbus successfully directed the first two movies, he decided to step down. The studio decided to choose Alfonso CuarΓ³n as the director for the first installment. I must say, it seemed like a very weird and dark choice, especially after the lighthearted style of Columbus. But it worked for the best, because CuarΓ³n reinvented the franchise. He changed and expanded the whole geography of Hogwarts, gave the movie a new dark atmosphere, and above all – directed the movie with so much creativity. The movie is just beautiful. With tons of long shots, cool camera movements, stunning cinematography and a dark fantasy atmosphere, this is the pure magic of cinema.Oh, and John Williams came back and composed one of his best soundtracks of all times (the track of β€œA Window to the Soul”? Wow!).Not to mention the new additions to the cast – Gary Oldman, David Thewils, Timothy Spall, Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon (the latter replaced Richard Harris, who died in 2002).Without this movie, we wouldn’t have got the realism darkness of the second half of the franchise. The combination of director Alfonso CuarΓ³n and cinematographer Michael Seresin is one of the greatest combinations in the history of cinema.Ironically, this is actually the lowest-grossing movie in the franchise. Why?I believe it was for two reasons:1 – The drastic change in the tone between the directors really scared people. I remember when I watched the movie for the first time and I was like β€œWhat’s going on?”.2 – Unlike the first two movies, which were released in November, this movie was released in June. Usually movies in summer have weaker β€œlegs” than the holidays, not to mention that the movie had competition from Shrek 2 and Spider-Man 2.I’m glad that it didn’t scare Warner Bros, and the studio continued with the dark style (that evolved) with the rest of the films. Can you believe this movie is now 20 years old?All the rights reserved to Warner Bros.

Venom 3 Trailer is Here!Sony released the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the third and final movie in the Venom Trilogy. In this movie, Eddie and Venom are on the run from both humans and aliens.I got to say, this trailer actually looks super cool, and above all, fun.I enjoyed the last two movies. They were stupid and fun (at the best possible way), and above all, the dynamic between Eddie and Venom was the highlight. It seems like the producer knows that, because the trailer gives us tons of their cool dynamic.Kelly Marcel, who wrote the last two Venom movies, is writing and directing this installment (it’s her directorial debut). Are you ready for the epic conclusion?Venom: The Last Dance will arrive this October. All rights of the footage are reserved to Sony and Marvel. One last question…Do you think Spider-Man will be in this movie??

Harry Potter has cool Symmetry shots! What is a Symmetry Shot?Symmetry is another common composition, and with that you can really show the audience the importance of your object / character, especially because it’s in the middle. It can be a character in the middle of the screen, or an object in the middle of the screen right between two characters. Here you can see some examples from the Harry Potter films.Cool, right?

Moana 2 trailer is here!!!Disney released the first look for Moana 2. It looks stunning and magical, and I want to freeze some of the frames and hang them on the wall. The first Moana is one of my favorite Disney movies in the last decade. It was a big hit in theaters, but it exploded on streaming.Since Disney + started, it has dominated the weekly charts almost every week. Not only that, but it was the most streamed movie of 2023!I hope the sequel will be great.According to Disney, the movie reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.AuliΚ»i Cravalho is back as Moana, and of course, Dwayne Johnson is back as Maui!Enjoy the trailer, and of course, What can I say except you're welcome? All Rights Reserved to Disney
