Our team in Industrial Group is looking for a Mechanic, Maintenance (B) Equipment to join them. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Murphy, North Carolina.
This is a Full Time, Temporary assignment for one year. **
To be considered for Mechanic, Maintenance (B) Equipment, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
HS diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Can lift up to 60 lbs. or more with assistance.
Can stand for prolonged periods with frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling and work in heat, smoke, wet, or cold conditions.
Have a valid driver’s license and be able to, with training, operate company vehicles and forklifts.
Must provide basic hand tools.
Experience reading blueprints, charts, graphs, and mechanical schematics.
Have good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors.
As a Mechanic, Maintenance (B) Equipment, you will:
Work on facility projects including carpentry, plumbing, demolitions, painting and other work.
Operate meters, grinders, saws, pipe threaders, drills, lawn mowers, tractors, pumps, and other machinery.
Work on different tasks, which will present new challenges.
Work with support to perform projects and tasks.

Salary Range:
The base pay rate for this opportunity starts at $14.00 per hour.
This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
